15 area hospitals will participate in the Health Pilot program provided by US Wired for Education and Iroquois Health Association.

US Wired and Iroquois have teamed up to deliver an Internet based assessment and eTraining program to 15 the hospitals in upstate New York. Funded by the NYS Department of Health, the program will use electronic assessments to determine skills for those seeking opportunities for promotion. While the overall goal is to recruit for RN and LPN positions, other career opportunities will be presented. As part of the Metrix Learning program, over 200 medical skills courses will be made available to current employees of the participating hospitals from Albany, Utica, Syracuse and Binghamton areas. In the Albany area, Albany Medical Center placed 30 of its current employees in the 90 day program.
