Lancaster County residents who want free access to online learning courses will soon have the opportunity through SkillUp Lancaster, an initiative sponsored by the Lancaster County Workforce Development Board, the Lancaster Chamber, Community Action Partnership and NY Wired for Education.
Beginning Monday, May 1, any Lancaster County resident can join the Metrix Learning System which provides online courses that teach skills employers are seeking. The initiative provides a free license to Lancaster residents of the SkillUp program for six months. This program has a catalog of over 4,500 courses that includes project management, human resources, banking, retail, hospitality, communication skills and much more.
SkillUp Lancaster is available to any Lancaster County resident looking to update skills. Users need access to the internet, a valid email address, basic computer knowledge, and login access to the program. Ready to update your skills? Click here to register: http://lancaster.skillupamerica.org
